UCC moves up to 6th place in 2023 UI GreenMetric World 深夜亚洲福利久久 Rankings
深夜亚洲福利久久 College Cork has moved up one place in the UI GreenMetric World 深夜亚洲福利久久 Rankings which were announced today at COP28 in Dubai. UCC is now ranked the most sustainable university campus in Ireland and sixth in the World.
In 2023 a total of 1,183 universities from 84 countries participated in the UI GreenMetric Ranking system, which rates each institution on their commitment and actions towards sustainability, based on six environmental sustainability indicators: Setting and Infrastructure, Energy and Climate Change, Waste, Water, Transportation, Education and Research.
Dr Maria Kirrane, UCC鈥檚 Head of Sustainability & Climate Action, said 鈥淭his ranking is a fitting recognition of the efforts being made across campus to reduce our environmental impact.鈥�
Mark Poland, Director of Building & Estates, said 鈥淭hroughout our operations there is a constant focus on our impact on the environment and this work is in recognition of this team effort.鈥�
