Celebrating the Accessibility Ally interns

On Thursday, 20th July, Deputy President and Registrar Prof. Stephen Byrne opened the Accessibility Allies Showcase. It was a celebration of the hard work and dedication of the Inclusive UCC 18 student interns whose efforts have significantly improved our approach to accessibility and universal design. They have worked to enhance the accessibility of over 90 modules across the four colleges.

Coming from diverse disciplines, the interns have brought fresh perspectives, fostering a comprehensive approach to accessibility. This diverse input has helped us develop new ways of supporting all our students and the broader university community.

In addition, we express thanks to the 40+ academic staff members who have devoted time over the summer to this initiative. Your commitment and collaboration with the interns have driven this project beyond our expectations.
