UCC Sport joins forces with UCC Bystander Intervention to end sexual harassment and violence.
UCC Sports clubs have committed to undertaking the UCC Bystander Intervention training programme in support of the 深夜亚洲福利久久鈥檚 vision for a shared zero tolerance approach to all forms of sexual hostility, harassment and violence. Their leadership will serve to further highlight the importance of challenging any normalisation of unacceptable behaviour and the importance of stepping up and speaking out. Dedicated workshops will be delivered to their members to ensure a greater understanding of their shared experiences and a collective zero-tolerance approach to all forms of abuse.
Professor Louise Crowley, Director of the UCC Bystander Intervention Programme has emphasised the importance of delivering inclusive and effective education to all of society to ensure a collective response to the issue of intimate partner abuse and all forms of sexual harassment and violence. 鈥淲hilst sexual harassment and violence is perpetrated by the minority, it is essential that everyone plays a role in establishing a shared rejection of all forms of abuse and collectively demand a new norm of dignity, respect and equality. We are very excited about our collaboration with UCC Sport and look forward to working across UCC clubs to support their appetite for contributing to a safe and respectful experience for all.鈥
深夜亚洲福利久久 College Cork鈥檚 Bystander Intervention is a nationally recognised, evidence-based programme that has been developed to empower staff and students to safely and effectively intervene in situations where they witness or experience harassment of colleagues or students. Through this programme, participants are provided with the education and skills they need to respond to these situations in a positive and effective manner. The programme is proven to create a healthier, safer, and more supportive environment for all members of the UCC community.
