Biography

Paul Moriarty joined UCC in 2002 as Head of Student Counselling & Development. He has served in a number of other leadership roles in student support services, including Pastoral care, Careers and Sport.

A strong advocate for the holistic development of all students as an integral part of education, Paul was appointed Director of Student Experience in UCC in November 2018. 

Paul has served as Chair of Student Affairs Ireland (SAI) and Vice President of the European Council of Student Affairs (ECStA) since 2018.  He is a member of the International Association of Student Affairs and Services (IASAS), has presented at the IASAS Global Summit of Student Affairs & Services, in Santiago, Chile and has contributed to a number of UNESCO publications. Student Affairs Ireland in collaboration with IASAS will host the 6^th Global Summit of Student Affairs & Services in UCC in June 2022 which will have a particular focus on the development of graduate attributes and intentionally progressing the UNESCO SDGs.
