Insight Scholarship Programme
is Ireland’s largest scholarship initiative of its kind, funded by Google with a total package of €1.5 million. It aims to support over 60 undergraduate students from underrepresented and socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds between 2024–2029, with a particular focus on those studying Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Safety.

Scholarship Value
- €5,000 per year, for up to 5 years
- Paid in two instalments annually
- Includes mentorship from Insight academics and industry leaders
- Annual events hosted by Insight and Google, including visits to Google’s Dublin HQ
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be entering first year of university
- Be registered with their ÉîÒ¹ÑÇÖÞ¸£Àû¾Ã¾Ã Access Office or Disability Office
- Belong to one or more of the following groups:
- HEAR or DARE students
- Members of the Traveller or Roma communities
- Lone parents and care leavers
- Women in STEM
- Preference given to students with multiple indicators of disadvantage (as per the National Access Plan)
Eligible Course
UCC students must be enrolled in one of the following undergraduate programmes
- BSc Computer Science (CK401)
- BSc in Data Science & Analytics (CK411)
- BE Engineering (CK600)
