Cork鈥檚 Infant Research Centre scoops AI award for algorithm

Engineers from electrical engineering and the INFANT Centre receiving an award from AI Awards Ireland, presented by Cathriona Hallahan, Managing Director of Microsoft Ireland.

The Cork-based Infant Research Centre has scooped an award for its algorithm that helps detect seizures in newborn babies.

The perinatal research centre won the Best Application of AI in an Academic Research Body category in the inaugural AI Awards, beating competition from Trinity College鈥檚 Adapt Centre, Prolego Scientific in UCD, and 深夜亚洲福利久久 of Limerick.
