Marta Pacheco Pinto脗&苍产蝉辫;(PhD in Translation History, 2013) is a post-doctoral research fellow at the Centre for Comparative Studies, 深夜亚洲福利久久脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;Lisbon, with a project that seeks to build a critical bibliography脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;published translations in脗&苍产蝉辫;Portugal脗&苍产蝉辫;from Japanese脗&苍产蝉辫;(1543-2014). As member脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;the Centre for Comparative Studies, she is the principal investigator脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;two research projects:脗&苍产蝉辫;Moving Bodies: Circulations, Narratives and Archives in Translation脗&苍产蝉辫;and脗&苍产蝉辫;Texts and Contexts脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;Portuguese Orientalism脗&苍产蝉辫;芒鈧 International Congresses脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;Orientalists (1873-1973).
Maria Tavares脗&苍产蝉辫;is a Lecturer in Portuguese Studies at Queen芒鈧劉s 深夜亚洲福利久久, Belfast. Her research has explored the possibilities arising from thinking nationalism and national identity through gender and she is currently conducting research on the processes脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;construction and representations脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;female heroism in Mozambique.
Leonor de Oliveira脗&苍产蝉辫;is FCT postdoctoral research fellow at the Instituto de Hist脙鲁ria de Arte at Nova 深夜亚洲福利久久, Lisbon. She is currently preparing a monograph on Portuguese artists in Britain and the resistance to the Estado Novo dictatorship.
Carlos Garrido Castellano脗&苍产蝉辫;is Lecturer脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies at UCC. His last book is脗&苍产蝉辫;Beyond Representation in Contemporary Caribbean Art; Space, Politics, and the Public Sphere脗&苍产蝉辫;(2019).

In Lisbon, as in other parts脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;the country, the cartography脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;the city still retains the脗&苍产蝉辫;legacies脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;a fallen empire - the 芒鈧揊ormer-Colonies Ward芒鈧 or脗&苍产蝉辫;Bairro das Col脙鲁nias脗&苍产蝉辫;is one脗&苍产蝉辫;ofthose areas脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;the city where the one can stroll through 芒鈧揗ozambique Street芒鈧 or 芒鈧揂ngola Street芒鈧. In other such neighborhoods, the colonial names脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;certain cities in Mozambique, or Angola, are still depicted in the street names, like 芒鈧揅idade de Salazar Street芒鈧 (nowadays N芒鈧劉dalatando) or 芒鈧揕ouren脙搂o Marques Street芒鈧 (nowadays Maputo). This anachronistic naming脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;these streets is the departing point for this performance lecture, which presents and describes several stories脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;children脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;the so-called 芒鈧渞eturnee芒鈧劉 (芒鈧渞etornados', the name given to the colonists that returned to脗&苍产蝉辫;Portugal脗&苍产蝉辫;during the decolonization process脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;1974-75). How is this colonial and post colonial memory transmitted within a family? What kind脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;representations脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;'Portuguese Africa' do this postmemory generations have?Bearing these questions in mind I went to look for whoever wanted to talk to me about this. I found Daniel, S脙鲁nia, Nicolau, Pedro; and I later found others. I also found my own relationship tears this past through a photograph that no one would explain to me. I had to find out for myself. But isn芒鈧劉t it always like that with memory? Annette Kuhn states 芒鈧揟he past is like a crime scene芒鈧. Indeed.脗&苍产蝉辫;
Joana脗&苍产蝉辫;Craveiro脗&苍产蝉辫;is a Portuguese director, writer, performer and teacher. She holds a PhD from Roehampton 深夜亚洲福利久久, in London, with a thesis entitled: 芒鈧揂 Live/Living Museum脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;Small, Forgotten and Unwanted Memories 芒鈧 Performing Narratives, Testimonies and Archives脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;the Portuguese Dictatorship and Revolution.芒鈧 She脗&苍产蝉辫;holds a Master Degree in Directing, from the Royal Scottish Academy脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;Music and Drama (RSAMD, 2004), a Degree in Anthropology (BA Hons, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, FCSH, 2003), and a Bachelor Degree in Acting (BA, Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema 芒鈧 ESTC, 1997). She has further studied with Alexander Kelly (Third Angel, UK), Goat Island and Every House has a Door (Chicago).脗&苍产蝉辫;Her performance lectures have been shown in international conferences since 2012: New York, Aarhus, Bristol, London, Skopje, Dallas, Montreal, Barcelona, Bangalore, Bel脙漏m do Par脙隆, and several venues in脗&苍产蝉辫;Portugal.脗&苍产蝉辫;She is artistic director脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;Teatro do Vestido, a theatre company based in脗&苍产蝉辫;Portugal, for which she has written, directed脗&苍产蝉辫;and performed over 40 pieces in the past 19脗&苍产蝉辫;years, since she founded the company.脗&苍产蝉辫;Craveiro is associated researcher at Instituto de Hist脙鲁ria Contempor脙垄nea IHC/Nova, in Lisbon.脗&苍产蝉辫;She is interested in the poetics and the transmission脗&苍产蝉辫;of脗&苍产蝉辫;memory, and her work intersects autobiography, (political) memory and private archives.
