We are delighted to invite you to the Irish Tree Explorers Network (ITEN) free end-of-project symposium which will be held at the , County Cork on March 19th 2025 from 10am-4pm. Focusing on the theme, 'From Root to Branch: Rethinking Our Relationship With Trees', the symposium will feature talks by speakers from a range of different disciplines: (National Botanic Gardens of Ireland), (Teagasc), Susannah Chapman (UCC), (UCD), (UCD), (HomeTree), (UCC), (Burrenbeo), Rosari Kingston (UCC) and (Coillte)

Join us on April 8th from 1 to 2 p.m. for an afternoon stroll through the UCC Arboretum, where we will explore its history as a unique botanical resource. 

The Irish Tree Explorers Network (ITEN) hosted its capstone symposium, From Root to Branch: Rethinking Our Relationship with Trees, on Wednesday, 19 March 2025. Held at the Fota Education, Conservation and Research Centre in Cork, this free, one-day event attracted approximately 100 attendees and featured an impressive line-up of speakers from diverse disciplines. The symposium aimed to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of trees by exploring their significance through both STEM and cultural lenses.
