UCC Photo Competition 2025

Whether it鈥檚 the iconic Quad, bustling student life, or hidden gems around campus, we want to see your best shots!
Submit your photos for a chance to win great prizes and have your work showcased to the UCC community.

1st Prize: 鈧�200 O'Leary Camera World gift card
2nd Prize: 鈧�100 O'Leary Camera World gift card
3rd Prize: 鈧�50 O'Leary Camera World gift card
Competition Rules

Theme: Photos must feature UCC 鈥� this can include campus buildings, landscapes, student life, events, or unique perspectives.

Original Work: Your submission must be your own original photograph.

Photo Quality: Images must be high-resolution (minimum 3000px on the longest side).

Editing: Light editing (cropping, colour correction) is allowed, but no heavy filters or AI-generated imagery.

Permissions: If people are recognisable in your photo, you must have their permission to submit it.

Ownership & Use: By entering, you agree that UCC may use your photo for promotional purposes (credit will be given).

Deadline: All submissions must be received by Friday, 21 November 2025, 5:00pm (GMT).

Eligibility: Open to all UCC students, staff, and alumni.
How to Submit Your Photo

Save your photo in JPEG or PNG format.

Name your file using the format:
FirstName_LastName_PhotoTitle. -
Email your entry to alumni@ucc.ie with the subject line UCC Photo Competition 2025.

A short description of your photo (max 50 words)

Judging Process
- A judging panel of UCC staff, alumni, and a professional photographer will score shortlisted entries. Consideration will be given to creativity, technical quality, relevance to UCC theme, and overall impact.

Winners will be announced on UCC鈥檚 website and social media channels.
