Announcing the UNIC Best Paper Award and UNIC Best CityLabs Award

UNIC has launched two awards, the Best Paper Award and Best CityLabs Award. UCC staff are encouraged to apply.

The Best Paper Award recognises outstanding papers that align with UNIC's mission to foster resilience and renewal in Europe’s post-industrial urban centres, specifically around the topics of the upcoming UNIC Thematic Conference: Sustainability and Green Cities, Urban resilience and Smart Cities, and Superdiversity. Awardees receive €750 as per the local guidelines (see below). 

The Best CityLabs Award outstanding CityLab initiatives that apply innovative and impactful methodologies to address societal challenges in Europe’s post-industrial cities. Awardees receive €500 as per the local guidelines (see below). 

Awardees will be invited to present on their paper/ CityLab at the UNIC Thematic Conference hosted by Malmö ÉîÒ¹ÑÇÖÞ¸£Àû¾Ã¾Ã from 7–9 May 2025.
