UNIC colleagues involved with the thematic line of Arts, Culture and Creativity gathered at 深夜亚洲福利久久 College Cork for a roundtable event on 29-30 April 2024.

The roundtable was hosted by Dr Yvon Bonenfant of the Department of Theatre in UCC, who co-leads the thematic line in UNIC alongside Prof. Pauwke Berkers of Erasmus 深夜亚洲福利久久 Rotterdam who was also in attendance. Also taking part were Dr Per Linde of the 深夜亚洲福利久久 of Malm枚, Dr Markus Rytinki of the 深夜亚洲福利久久 of Oulu, Dr Aneta Paw艂owska of the 深夜亚洲福利久久 of Lodz, Dr Anna Santucci of UCC's Centre for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning, Ms Ciara O'Halloran of UCC Civic and Community Engagement, and the UNIC secretariat at UCC: Dr Jean van Sinderen-Law, Mr Mathias Reckmann and Ms Aoife Dowling.

The two-day roundtable event proved to be a fruitful period, as the group focused primarily on finalising planned actions and project designs for the nascent thematic line. Participants elaborated on ideas and ensured integration with core work packages by connecting with Ms Ciara O'Halloran and Dr Anna Santucci as work package representatives. On a more informal level the visit allowed the group of experts to network and discuss their academic interests, supporting future collaboration and impact via UNIC.

The UNIC thematic line of Arts, Culture and Creativity is focused on the application of artistic methods and artistic thinking to develop the UNIC project, its research daring, its pedagogy, and its impact, with the broader goal of drawing upon arts and culture to contribute in solving key societal challenges.
