Dr Caitriona Long-Smith receives ILM-endorsed Certificate of Attainment

Congratulations to Dr Caitr铆ona Long-Smith, a post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Anatomy & Neuroscience, who recently completed the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM)-endorsed Epigeum鈥檚 Professional Skills for Research Leaders programme.

Facilitated by Mary Kate O鈥橰egan and colleagues in Human Resources, UCC, this 6-month course blended online learning with monthly workshops, and covered the topics of Developing and Consolidating your Research Career, Funding your Research, Managing a Research Team, Research Collaboration, and Communicating your Research. ().

Caitriona鈥檚 post doctoral research involves investigating the potential of nutraceuticals to enhance neurogenesis-dependent cognition. Caitriona works under the supervision of Dr. Yvonne Nolan, Senior Lecturer and SFI Investigator, Department of Anatomy & Neuroscience.
