Biography
鈥淪tarting my PhD in Imperial College in the Autumn of 2012, I quickly realised how well equipped I was to take on research at one of the world's premier engineering faculties. The solid engineering principles of the BE Civil degree do not equip one solely for a career in design or construction; the maths, physics and computing studied develop key problem solving and numerical skills that are highly valued in the professional world.鈥�
鈥淭he degree opens many doors. For example, my PhD research is the study of the fracture fatigue of jet engines, working closely with engineers from a top UK aerospace company.鈥�
