The Education Awards 2025 celebrate the most innovative individuals and companies driving excellence in Ireland's education sector. The Energy Policy and Modelling Group played a central role in developing the evidence base underpinning these carbon budgets. Through membership of the Carbon Budgets Working Group, the EPMG developed an extensive set of energy systems decarbonisation scenarios with the TIMES-Ireland Model in an iterative process, engaging with stakeholders and experts.

The EPMG had a wonderful morning at showcasing some of our energy modelling research and policy insights from focusing on carbon budgets, policy pathways, emissions, energy security and engagement on infrastructure.

Great discussions with nearly 100 stakeholders and friends from policy, industry and NGO communities. Thanks to all for the warm compliments and the tough questions.
