Adios & Arrivederci
The Department bid farewell to two overseas student interns 鈥� Anna Zupetic and Andrea Iglesias, both of whom spent a few months in Prof. O鈥橦alloran鈥檚 laboratory this spring.
Using RT-PCR, the young trainees explored gene expression in the diaphragm of an animal model of Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Both presented an oral communication of their work to Prof. O鈥橦alloran and his group on the last day of their internship.
Group 鈥渟elfie鈥� of the lab with Dr. Deirdre Edge who mentored the girls during their visit. David Burns and Andrew O鈥橪eary were very generous with their time in showing Anna and Andrea the ropes!
