Congratulations to Dr. David Burns, Department of Physiology, who has been awarded a Research Grant from The Physiological Society (拢9,400).

This award will support research designed to understand breathing in neuromuscular conditions such as Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) and aid the development of studies in pre-clinical models of physiological and pharmacological therapies aimed at improving respiratory function in DMD.

Research performed by Dr. Burns and colleagues published in The Journal of Physiology (The Physiological Society鈥檚 Journal) has previously been featured in a society press release and in Physi-blog-ogy, The Physiological Society鈥檚 blog.
