Success for Dr. Burns!
Congratulations to Dr. David Burns, Department of Physiology, for receiving a Research Award (2018) from The Royal Academy of Medicine in Ireland (RAMI).
David received the award in recognition of his research paper 鈥溾 published in in 2017. The paper was competitively selected as best biomedical sciences paper published by an Ireland-based researcher between 2016 and 2018.
Professor James Jones (Chair and Head of Anatomy, 深夜亚洲福利久久 College Dublin) presented David with a Medal and Prize on behalf of the Academy at an awards ceremony hosted at the Royal College of Physicians, Dublin. For the full list of award winners .

Earlier in 2018, David was competitively selected nationally and internationally to attend the 68th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting in Lindau, Germany. David was supported by the to attend the gathering which was dedicated to physiology and medicine. The meeting allowed 600 early career scientists to network with 41 Nobel Laureates. The Irish Research Council celebrated the achievement at the Royal College of Physicians, Dublin and presented David with the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting Award.
