Congratulations to Caroline Joyce who recently obtained Fellowship (by examination) of the London.

The Fellowship examination of the Royal College of Pathologists is the main method of assessment of pathology training in the UK and Ireland. This examination is taken in two parts and trainees are awarded Fellowship (FRCPath) on completion of both. The FRCPath examination is an assessment of a candidate’s training programme, indicating fitness to practice, and ability to enter independent practice as a consultant in pathology.

Caroline is a Principal Clinical Biochemist at Cork ÉîÒ¹ÑÇÖÞ¸£Àû¾Ã¾Ã Hospital and an PhD Scholar within the Pregnancy Loss Research Group. Caroline’s PhD is funded by the Irish Research Council: Employment-Based Programme, in partnership with HSE South. It is supervised by , Dr John Coulter (Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Cork ÉîÒ¹ÑÇÖÞ¸£Àû¾Ã¾Ã Maternity Hospital) and Professor Tommie McCarthy (School of Biochemistry & Cell Biology, UCC).
