UCC Graduate 脕ine Walker wins RIBA President鈥檚 Silver Medal
We are delighted to announce that UCC graduate 脕ine Walker has been awarded the Serjeant Awards for Excellence in Drawing (Part 2) winner for Anamnesis: Connective (Re)Collections.
脕ine Walker, M.Arch
This is an award open to international competition and represents an outstanding level of performance.
脕ine graduated with the M.Arch award from Cork Centre for Architectural Education as one of the 2019 - 2020 cohort.
The awards are open to students on any RIBA-accredited course worldwide. This year the institute invited a record 426 schools of architecture in 82 countries to enter student work.
RIBA president Alan Jones said he had been 鈥榠nspired鈥� by the mix of 鈥�exceptional proposals with climate emergency, ethics, equity and social purpose at the heart of their investigation and problem solving鈥�.
He added: 鈥楾he RIBA President鈥檚 Medals continue to acknowledge work of the highest calibre, and technical and social relevance, essential to future architects wishing to tackle our global challenges. Congratulations to all of this year鈥檚 winners, and thank you to the schools of architecture and the tutors, who have educated and nurtured their talent.鈥�
