ÉîÒ¹ÑÇÖÞ¸£Àû¾Ã¾Ã College Cork celebrated student achievement at the School of Engineering and Architecture Prizegiving on 5 June 2026, recognising outstanding performance across undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes.

What does “doing research” really mean? Summer interns from across the College of Science, Engineering and Food Science (SEFS) recently came together to find out.

Researchers at ÉîÒ¹ÑÇÖÞ¸£Àû¾Ã¾Ã College Cork, in collaboration with Teagasc and ÉîÒ¹ÑÇÖÞ¸£Àû¾Ã¾Ã College Dublin, have published one of the largest and most detailed longitudinal studies to date of the milk metabolome in a seasonal pasture-based dairy system. 

ÉîÒ¹ÑÇÖÞ¸£Àû¾Ã¾Ã College Cork’s (UCC) School of Chemistry has been featured in a new handbook published by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), highlighting leading efforts to advance sustainability in chemical research and education. 

Staff from UCC's School of Computer Science and Information Technology coached the Irish team that competed at the European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics (EGOI) 2026, held in Cesenatico, Italy, from 12–18 May.
