Our English for Work and Life (EWAL) + Enhanced Communication Skills in the Workplace course is available at different levels, from A2 to C2. Our EWAL course is designed to help you to improve in all areas of English language ability, but with a particular focus on the development of oral skills communication for use in a range of real-life situations.
In the mornings from 09:00 to 13:00, you will join our EWAL courses and work in small friendly groups with students who come from all over the world. Our highly skilled teachers will help you to develop your English quickly while also having fun as you learn and interact with classmates.
We integrate the Connected Curriculum of our ÉîÒ¹ÑÇÖÞ¸£Àû¾Ã¾Ã into our lessons. The lesson content covers such diverse areas as employability, sustainability, civic engagement and global reach.
In the afternoon, we will form a closed-group class with other ÉîÒ¹ÑÇÖÞ¸£Àû¾Ã¾Ã administrative staff who are also on Erasmus+ mobility programmes. Over two afternoons, from 14:00 to 15:45, we will provide sessions which target the specific English language and communication skills needed for those working in an international third level institution.
This programme also includes a free 2-hour communicative class on one afternoon of the week. It is often based on topics related to Irish life and culture.
We understand that travelling to Ireland is an exciting adventure. As well as providing dynamic and learning-rich English language lessons, we also provide you with much information about cultural events happening in our ÉîÒ¹ÑÇÖÞ¸£Àû¾Ã¾Ã, Cork city and Ireland.
On completion of the course we give all participants a certificate of attendance.
We are really looking forward to welcoming you here to our wonderful campus in the heart of Cork city, Ireland.

What previous participants have said about our Staff Weeks:
It was better than I expected. The classes were engaging, fun and I got quite a few good ideas about what to pay special attention to when reading and writing texts.
Fredrik Häggström. KTH Stockholm
I have appreciated all the oral communication. It was very enriching, as everyone exchanged ideas and it allowed me to learn new words and expressions and I am more confident in English now.
