Digital Materials

Digital Materials based off our Creative Workshops. 

• Workshop 1: 'Experiencing anti-discrimination rights in post-colonial settings'

Creative Public Workshop: This workshop encouraged engagement with research questions relating to Anti-discrimination rights in relation to post-colonial identities in Northern Ireland and Ukraine. Through this creative and civic engagement, workshop participants were involved in the shaping of artworks that will be presented in a temporary exhibition in the civic space of the museum in order to communicate and extend discussions about the activation of rights within and beyond the EU in the public realm. 

• Workshop 2: 'China, Human rights and the European Union'

Creative Public Workshop: This workshop encouraged engagement with research questions relating to the EU's role in safeguarding human rights internationally and the EU's engagement with China and Human Rights. Though the medium of art, participants had the opportunity to reflect around those issues. This creative workshop also allowed  participants to express themselves and collaborate with professional artist, Claire Halpin.

• Closing Conference and Launch of Commission by artist Claire Halpin

Based on the creative engagement workshops hosted by the Glucksman Gallery, arist Claire Halpin's commissioned piece was launched at the Glucksman Gallery on Friday 18th October 2024.
