Dr Caroline Joyce and Dr Aoife Corcoran attended the with other members of the Irish . Held at the Hospital Clínico San Carlos, Madrid (Spain), the meeting provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with European colleagues and foster collaborative research projects.

Dr Aoife Corcoran presented a proposal for a minimal dataset consensus for reporting outcomes in gestational trophoblastic disease (GTD). Owing to the rarity of GTD, there is limited evidence from randomised control trials to guide optimum treatment and follow-up. Treatment protocols vary widely across countries and even within the same country. Through the CODING project, the research team aims to develop a Core Outcome Set for GTD to help standardise outcome measurement and reporting. This will improve the quality of information on long-term treatments effectiveness, supporting better-informed and more effective-clinical decision making.

Thanks to Dr Gloria Marquina and Dr Antonia Casado for organising an excellent scientific and social programme.
