Irish Network of Healthcare Educators Annual Scientific Meeting 2025
The (INHED) Annual Scientific Meeting 2025 鈥淓mbracing the Future of Health Professions' Education鈥 was hosted at 深夜亚洲福利久久 College Cork on 22 and 23 May. It was a wonderful opportunity for the Pregnancy Loss Research Group to share our research and connect with a range of people involved in the field of health professions education, including medical education professionals, clinicians and experts by experience.
presented two papers at the conference. The first, titled 鈥溾, was recently published in the Irish Medical Journal. The second paper showcased the findings of a scoping review of staff education and training interventions around perinatal bereavement care, co-authored with Sinead Harkin (UCC Medical Student and Health Research Board Summer Scholar) and .
Over 200 delegates attended and participated in workshops, parallel sessions and an excellent patient-led session. Many thanks to INHED 2025 co-chairs, Professor Deirdre Bennett and Professor Jason Last, and all involved in making this event a success.

The Irish Network of Healthcare Educators (INHED) was founded in 2008 with the aim of enhancing health professional education on the island of Ireland by bringing together individuals and organisations with an interest in, and responsibilities for healthcare education. The organisation began as a collaboration between the seven undergraduate medical schools on the island of Ireland. It has since developed into an integrative educational organisation for all health professional disciplines in Ireland.
