The All-Ireland Maternity and Midwifery Festival 2025 took place in Dublin and online on 08 April. It featured inspirational speakers on policy, management and organisation, professional education and new research.

Today, the Pregnancy Loss Research Group at ��ҹ���޸����þ� College Cork is launching a suite of resources to improve the care of people who experience miscarriage and recurrent miscarriage.

Members of the PLRG attended and presented at the at the RCSI on 04 March 2025. The conference examined how research can and does influence health policy and system reform, very much in line with our ethos at the PLRG.

On Friday 07 March, members of the PLRG celebrated International Women's Day 2025 with the students and staff of , Cork, collaborators on the SPRING project. Dr Laura Linehan, Dr Brendan Fitzgerald and Susan Dineen attended the event.

Over 300 people gathered in Kinsale on Thursday, 20 February for an inspirational leadership evening with , former Irish Navy Captain and motivational speaker. Hosted by the Kinsale Lions Club in collaboration with Kinsale Community School and the Cork ��ҹ���޸����þ� Foundation at UCC, the event brought together distinguished guests, media representatives, and community leaders. Proceeds from the event will support the vital work of the Pregnancy Loss Research Group.

Forty-six people from across the South West, Mid West and Saolta Health Regions completed TEARDROP training at Cork ��ҹ���޸����þ� Maternity Hospital (CUMH) on Friday 14 February. This was the fifth TEARDROP workshop held at CUMH and the seventh held nationally, as two workshops have been delivered by the Saolta Group since its roll-out in 2023. To date, around 300 health professionals have completed TEARDROP training across both hospital groups.

The Pregnancy Loss Research Group is currently inviting applicants for a PhD Scholarship funded by  (The Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Association of Ireland). The project is titled ‘Second trimester pregnancy loss - investigation, management and care’.

The PLRG was well-represented at the (JOGS) – “Together Towards Tomorrow: Innovations in Obstetrics & Gynaecology”. Together, the team delivered one oral and 12 poster presentations at the event which took place on 29 November in Dublin.

The second annual Collective Social Futures Festival of Social Science took place at UCC on 25-26 November. Members of the PLRG were delighted to attend and present at this event, themed 'Social Science Matters: innovation, co-production and transformation'.
