Dr Brendan Fitzgerald, Consultant Perinatal Pathologist at Cork ÉîÒ¹ÑÇÖÞ¸£Àû¾Ã¾Ã Hospital, presented two papers on second trimester miscarriage at the recent Annual Meeting of the . This work forms part of the perinatal pathology strand of research at the Pregnancy Loss Research Group.
The first paper focused on management directing clinicopatholgical classification of second trimester miscarriage, while the second explored placental pathology patterns in second trimester miscarriage.
The was held from 14-16 September in Madrid. The Paediatric Pathology Society is composed of pathologists who specialise in or have a major interest in the pathology of the fetus, neonate or child. Membership is largely European, but is open to those from anywhere in the world.
