Stillbirth webinar in conjunction with the Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
We held a Stillbirth Webinar 鈥淪tillbirth Matters 鈥 Prevention, Investigation, Management, and Care Webinar鈦犫 in conjunction with the , on 04 October 2023.
During the webinar, we provided updates on stillbirth rates, care practices, reviews and related policies in Ireland, as well as discussing risk factors, awareness and prevention strategies, and presenting updates in investigation of stillbirth and perinatal bereavement care. Over 180 people registered, with 111 tuning into the webinar on the day itself.
provided an introduction on why stillbirth matters in Ireland. Dr Tamara Esca帽uela S谩nchez spoke about risk factors and prevention. An overview of perinatal pathology and stillbirth was provided by Dr Brendan Fitzgerald. Dr Daniel Nuzum spoke about the importance of the stillbirth care experience and bereavement care.
Over 40% of attendees completed the evaluation form (47 out of 111). Feedback on the webinar was very positive, with all participants stating that they would recommend this event to others, and that they could relate the learning points to their practice. Attendees were very satisfied with the quality of speakers, topics, time keeping, and presentations.
