Tion贸l Forbartha Gaeloideachais 2025
Gaeloideachas agus COGG - An Chomhairle Um Oideachas Gaeltachta & Gaelscola铆ochta - Tion贸il Forbartha 2025
On the 20th of November, the Barr na gCnoc team attended Tion贸l Forbartha Gaeloideachais, where they presented an innovative approach to teaching the Irish language through music. Se谩n 脫 Broin and Laoise Nic 脥omhair introduced the background of the Barr na gCnoc programme and highlighted the exciting projects currently underway.
Following their presentation, Lauren de Gr谩s led an engaging workshop on creating a rap song in Irish, guiding participants from lyric writing to simple recording techniques. This resource offers teachers a fresh, creative, and enjoyable way to bring the language to life in the classroom.
Our speakers represented Barr na gCnoc with distinction, showcasing the core research driving the programme and demonstrating how educators can make meaningful use of the materials provided.
